Sentimental Senior and Family Photographer based in Glen Allen, VA

I can’t believe I’m writing this post. As a super sentimental mom and photographer, I look forward to all the fun milestones with my son, Noah. Sixteen just seems like a really big deal, and it IS! I know there will be a lot more big moments to come, but goodness this one seems huge! Where did the time go and where is my baby boy?

Yeah, I’m his mom and I’m obligated to say so, but Noah is such a cool kid. So many interests…dirt bikes, music, racing, Tae Kwon Do, computers, and dedicated to the people he loves. At school, he’s smart, reserved, and keeps his circle pretty small. Noah’s introspective and studious, but also really funny. He’s mechanically inclined and quiet like his Daddy. He has the best smile, which is my favorite characteristic about him. I’m so excited to see all the things the Lord has in store for his life.

For his portraits, we thought about several locations, but he desired an urban setting to include his guitars. My trusty Shockoe parking deck never disappoints at sunset. We included several sentimental touches. The black Kings of Leon t-shirt is a hand-me-down from his Daddy, from Noah’s first concert. He was only seven, but stood on the seat and loudly belted out every. single. word. The acoustic guitar is my Daddy’s, which he bought before I was born. Noah’s been enjoying it while my Grandpa has been out of town and thought it would be fun include.

Day two of portraits took place at our home, with his newly-inherited 1998 Jeep Wrangler. Tim bought the Jeep brand new the year we started dating. I can already tell how much Noah appreciates and respects the history of this Chili Pepper Red Jeep. It’s pretty special for Tim to pass it down.

I have so many wishes for Noah on this day, but my greatest is that he keeps his heart for Jesus. Happy Sweet 16 buddy, you make us very proud! Keep doing your thing, YOUR way. We love you!

That crinkly-nose smile hasn’t changed one bit.

Photographer’s kid? He’s assisted at MANY sessions and apparently pays attention.
