Q. When do you schedule sessions?
A. I'm currently scheduling full sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. I prefer to shoot sessions 2 hours prior to sunset for soft, even light.
Q. Do you shoot on weekends?
A. I'm no longer available to shoot single sessions on weekends. However, Seasonal Exclusive Sessions take place on Sunday afternoons and I shoot multiple families on those days.
Q. Are you licensed and insured?
A. Absolutely! I wouldn't be in business without either.
Q. When should I book?
A. As soon as you know you wish to work with me! I typically book senior sessions 2-3 seasons in advance. It is recommended you book your family session 1-2 seasons in advance. I begin booking for the current year in early March.
Q. What should I wear and bring to my session?
A. Once you secure your session date, I send every client an online session guide on how to prepare, what to wear, what to bring, etc. You can easily download the guide to your smart phone.
Q. Do you shoot weddings?
A. I no longer offer wedding photography to the general public. However, I will on occasion shoot weddings for current or past clients if my schedule allows.
Q. Can I pay my session fee in installments?
A. Absolutely! Once your session date is secure with your retainer, you may make online payments in any amount you wish up until your session date.
Q. Can I bring my pet?
A. Please do! I'm a dog lover and appreciate you wanting to include your pet in your photos! I've even written a helpful blog post about it here.
Q. Where do you shoot your sessions?
A. I shoot at most public parks and private residential homes within the Richmond Metro and Glen Allen areas. Please be aware some privately owned venues, such as Lewis Ginter and Maymont, require a photography usage fee and appointment. It is the client's responsibility to make these arrangements.
Q. My daughter is interested in your senior VIPteam. When can she apply?
A My VIPteam is a merit-based senior program that has gained in vast popularity over the last 5 years. Applications open for current juniors each winter. Find out more here.
Q. Do you offer complimentary gift certificates or donations of services for non-profit organizations or fundraiser events?
A. Due to overwhelming requests, I'm no longer able to offer free or donated services. However, I do offer limited fundraising opportunities to athletic and performing groups in my immediate area. Please contact me for more details.
