I’m so excited to share our second installment in our “Ballet with Bob” series. Bob is a dear friend and fellow Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep volunteer who has photographed dance performances with Stavna Ballet for many years. This past summer, Bob graciously invited me to collaborate with him for this little passion project. We spent a lovely (albeit warm for November) afternoon at Pump House Park and Maymont. It was a joy to work with company dancer, Coral and Stavna Director, Shannon. We are truly inspired by their talents!

The Pump House is a Gothic Victorian granite structure built in the 1880s that once pumped water from the James River into the city of Richmond. It also hosted parties and events during the era. It is currently being restored to it’s former glory with a museum and event rental space.
