Emily is a senior at Glen Allen High School. The first time I met her she was quiet and a bit shy. But she’s gained so much confidence being a part of my VIPteam and shoots and it really paid off during her individual senior session last week. Emily is a super busy gal! She’s currently finishing up her certification testing after completing the Emergency Medical Technician Program at Hermitage High School. She volunteers at a local rescue squad and loves the experience and helping those in need. She’s very passionate about a career in medicine and is involved in medical clubs at school including Health Occupation Students of America, Red Cross Club, and Future Medical Leaders of America. Emily’s also a member of National Honor Society, president of the National Art Honor Society, National Latin Honor Society, vice president and historian of Latin Club, National Technical Honor Society, Rho Kappa Honor Society, Key Club, Psychology Club, and Tech Ethics at Hermitage.

Outside of school Emily tutors young elementary school-aged children with learning disabilities. She also has a strong interest in service animals. A goal of Emily’s is to be able to train service animals for children and be able to extend availability to more areas at a lower cost. Her yellow lab, Gunner, has been a great comfort to her at many times and she realizes the special assistance they can be to children.

Emily plans to attend college after high school and then medical school. Her goal is to be a pediatric emergency physician. Her love for children and helping others will certainly help her reach this goal. Emily, I wish you the best your senior year and beyond! Thank you for choosing me as your photographer!
