Last year we attended our first dog swim with Annie and Wrangler. Each end of summer, Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond holds an open swim at Ashcreek Recreation Center’s pool as a fundraiser. Although we foster for Lab Rescue of the LRCP, we have no problem supporting other rescues with the same mission!
We were very curious to see if Willys was a swimmer, but found out quickly he’s more of the “wading” type. He would approach the big pool and whine a bit, so we think he would like to get in and swim, but he’s just a little scared. He did however, love the kiddie pool and playing with the smaller pups. He loved the beach, so we’ll have to find some places where he can wade in easily. Annie and Wrangler have no problem diving right in to chase tennis balls and frisbees. They played as long as we would let them and then snoozed away on the ride home. Such a fun day!
Willys blows bubbles in the kiddie pool.
Our nephew-pup Moose came to play, too! Moose is a Boglen Terrier, or Boston Terrier/Beagle mix.
Handsomest boy!
