I get to meet some of the most amazing and talented young adults through senior photography. I was so excited to finally meet Ashley, a rising senior at Glen Allen High School. Ashley is one of the most dedicated athletes and busiest seniors I’ve worked with so far. This girl has been swimming for NOVA for 13 years and for the past three, has been getting up at 4am for practice before school! During the summer, Ashley also swims for her neighborhood swim team and teaches lessons. At school, Ashley is a member of the National Honor Society, president of Rho Kappa, and a member of several other academic and service clubs She’s also co-captain of Glen Allen’s swim team. Amazing!
Not only is Ashley busy with swimming and school, but she also has an amazing heart and involved with her community. This summer, she’s doing an internship with Pay It Forward, a non-profit providing basic needs and clothing to the homeless. She and a friend have created a program called “Click to It” with the Richmond Justice Initiative. This program helps spread awareness to middle school students about the dangers associated with social media such as human trafficking.
Ashley, I am so honored your chose me as your senior photographer. I had so much fun with you and your mom at Walkerton Tavern and University of Richmond. Your dedication to your passions is truly inspiring!
